This is a copy of a powerpoint presentation that was shared with teachers and administration on a suggested evaluation design for the Hudsonville Public Schools iPad and iPod initiative that includes evaluating the impact of integrating 210 iPads and 210 iPods.

I'm interested in the data from Hudsonville School District as it exists prior to the implementation of ipads, such as the dropout rate. I'm curious to know why you chose Hudsonville as it's a rural school district. Do those factors contribute? How would this project affect an urban school district in areas that are struggling (i.e., Benton Harbor, where the dropout rate is currently 43%). Does your study have a gender differentiation? I'm afraid my "thoughtful comment" is full of questions as I find this study fascinating and hope to follow it even after the EDT 6440 course is completed. My school contemplated utilizing ipads, but, as a former self-proclaimed technophobe, I was quick to dismiss the idea.
Max,
Good point, to also include budget information to check on cost effectiveness of the various instructional approaches.
