Near the end of this article, there is one comment that states: "...the researchers concluded that 80 percent of schools under-utilize technologies they have already purchased." I feel that this fits our school perfectly. NBHS is in it's fourth year with our 1-1 program, but I still feel like there is a huge under-utilization in what we have. I have, however been attempting to further my inclusion of technology into the classroom, hence my program choice at WMU. I also have witnessed the belief and faith by our current super-intendant in utilizing what we have. He has individually propelled us on a personal basis to include more technology such as blogs, e-books, etc.

I like the overall tone of this article. The belief that 1-1 programs are: "an investment not an expense" parallels what the majority of our corporation believes. By immersing our students in computer and technology usage, the should be better prepared to be a competitor in the rapidly changing world. Having sound computing skills is a prerequisite in this day and age, and I feel that a 1-1 program gives them a better chance of landing a job over someone else that didn't have that opportunity afforded them.
